Free Rice
October 24-30, 2021
Description: Answer questions of various topics ranging from vocabulary to science to languages to help donate grains
of rice. FreeRice is a website/online game created by the United Nation's World Food Programme that donates the
monetary equivalent of 10 grains of rice to a country in need for every trivia question answered correctly. This helps to
provide food/rice and funds for programs to help people around the world.
HSCADV Diaper Drive
November 8-12, 2021
Description: Collect/buy diapers of any size to donate to the Hawaii State Coalition Against Domestic Violence (HSCADV),
a non-profit organization that aims to end domestic violence through educational efforts, advocacy and action for justice;
the HSCADV also provides shelter, supplies, and various programs for those who were/are victims of domestic violence.
St. Rita's Parish "Ho'omaika'i Meal Distribution"
November 20, 2021
Description: Distribute almost 300 turkey bentos and canned good bags to families who are homeless and less fortunate.
Help Set up tables, cones, and possibly tents depending on the weather conditions. Carry peoplesʻ cars, and place them
in their trunks.
St. Jude Holiday Cards
November 21 - December 5, 2021
Description: Create cards and send kind words to St.Jude's Children Research Hospital patients to put a smile on their face.
The mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric
catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Consistent with the vision of our founder Danny Thomas, no child is
denied treatment based on race, religion or a family's ability to pay.
The Pantry
December 3, 2021
Description: Volunteer to help package and distribute food. The Pantry by Feeding Hawaii Together employs a “grocery
store style” experience where the clients are able to “shop online and pick-up food by appointment.” They offer a range of
foods to choose from, all for free. Their mission is to address Oahu’s hunger crisis by providing consistent and reliable
access to nutritional food. Their vision is to be a model for food security in Hawaii.
UH Manoa Food Vault

Description: Donate non-perishable food and/or toiletry donations to help students in need.The Food Vault program was
established to address food insecurity and to serve registered students of UH Mānoa.
Hawaii Food Bank Senior Food Box Packing (CSFP)
Saturday, February 26th at 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Hawaii Food Bank Warehouse (outside)
2611 Kilihau St, Honolulu, HI 96819
Duties: Volunteers will help pack 2,100 "healthier choice" food boxes for Oahu senior citizens. Volunteers must be able to stand for the duration of the activity and perform repetitive movements. (Note: There are different jobs, such as packing various types of goods [cans, rice bags, packets], flattening boxes, wrapping. We won't know which duty we'll be assigned until day of event)

Friday, April 22nd at 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM
Pu'u O Kaimuki Mini Park: 951 Koko Head Ave
Deadline to signup: Tuesday, April 19
Duties: Invasive species removal and litter removal from the park/neighborhood
Hanai'aina Conservation Work Day at Waimea Valley
Saturday, April 24rd at 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Waimea Valley - 59-864 Kamehameha Hwy, Haleiwa, HI 96712
Deadline to signup: Thursday, April 21
Duties: Hike approximately 45 minutes up through the north valley to get to the worksite. The day will be spent in the forest restoration enclosure clearing invasive weeds, spreading mulch and planting native trees and shrubs. The group will return to the base at around 3pm. You must be able to stay for the entire workday.
All participants are encouraged to bring water, and must wear closed toed shoes and proper work attire.
